The Hikvision DS-2CE11D0T-PIRLO is not just a recording camera — it’s an active deterrence device. Built into the IoT Series, it combines 2MP surveillance with a Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor that detects the body heat signature of approaching humans and immediately triggers a visible strobe light alarm and an alarm relay output. The intruder knows they’ve been detected — before any human operator needs to respond.

🚶 PIR Detection — Body Heat, Not Motion Pixels

Standard cameras detect motion by analysing changes in video pixels — triggering on wind-blown trees, passing headlights, and shadows. The PIRLO’s Passive Infrared sensor specifically detects the thermal signature of a warm human body, ignoring inanimate motion. This dramatically reduces false alarms and ensures the strobe alarm fires reliably on actual human intrusion — not environmental noise. When integrated with a Hikvision AcuSense DVR, the detection accuracy and integration depth improves further.

💥 Strobe Light Alarm + Alarm Output

On PIR detection, two things happen simultaneously: the camera’s built-in white LED strobe flashes visibly — a startling and effective deterrent that announces the intruder has been detected. The alarm relay output can trigger external alarms, sirens, smart home systems, or DVR alarm channels — enabling automated responses without manual monitoring. This turns a passive recording camera into an active security layer.

🔭 EXIR 2.0 — Uniform Smart IR to 20m

Hikvision’s second-generation EXIR technology uses a precision reflector array for uniform, hotspot-free infrared illumination. Smart IR auto-dims as subjects approach to prevent overexposure. Min. illumination: 0 Lux with IR on.
